Headquartered in Bedford, Virginia, Altitude Drone Co. provides drone services to various industries, including public safety, electric utilities, construction, and real estate.

Our founder, Curtis Marshall, found his passion for aviation at a young age. From his annual trips to the Tidewater region of Virginia, where he watched fighter wings at Oceana Naval Station as a child, to his personal adventures of learning to fly both manned and unmanned aircraft, his work exemplifies his passion.

Altitude Drone Co. was born from Curtis’s research and development through his volunteer service with the Bedford Volunteer Fire Department. Curtis is the program developer and manager for the department and was tasked with researching the efficacy of a drone program to assist in ground search and rescue, firefighting, and incident management efforts with the department. Through his dedicated time and efforts, he began to understand that drone technologies were on the cutting edge of changing industries that required safety and reduced risk scenarios. Curtis’ diligence through his R&D efforts within the Bedford Fire Department allowed the department to become one of the first in the Commonwealth to have a successful drone program and has been an example for dozens of agencies across the Commonwealth of Virginia and the country.

Formerly known as Altitude Imaging, Altitude Drone Co. has been in business since 2017. We are proud to grow and learn with this ever-changing technology, and we maintain our passion for assisting public safety and industries that embrace drone technologies!
